After a 6-4 season last year Waterford is looking for senior leadership to lead to a successful 2011-12 season. They ended the season on a solid four-game winning streak which coach Ross says “was a good start for the next season.”

They have senior quarterback Trevor Long back to lead the Wildcats on offense. Long  broke a quarterback record last year for passing yards and looks to continue success in his last year. Coach Ross is very excited about Long at quarterback this season.

Waterford also has a very experienced offensive line led by Kendrick Swindleman. The Wildcats look to pound a ground game with tailback Matt West who led them in rushing yards last year. Coach Ross says “This is a year we are looking to compete for the TVC Championship!” “but we must continue to work on strength, off-ball speed, and sense of urgency.” If the Waterford Wildcats  continue to work on these things and can have a solid defense, look out for the Wildcats to top the TVC-Hocking in the 2011-12 season.
