Miller Looks for First Win

Coach Hinkle and the Miller Falcons will again be looking for their first season victory as they welcome the Southern Tornadoes this week. Miller previously defeated 35-12 in non-league play against Fairfield Christian, are looking to rebound with a home win. The falcons have to believe this is a winnable game especially after defeating Southern last year by score of 36-14 at Southern.

Coach Hinkle wants his team to stay physical and play with intensity this week in order to achieve this win. He is looking for a big game from quarterback Dakota Bond to lead the falcon’s offensive attack, and possibly find connection with his cousin Jakob Bond at wide receiver.

Southern comes into Friday’s game with one lone victory against Belpre. However, Southern has played very tough with some of the better teams in the TVC Hocking. The tornadoes only lost to third seed South Gallia by four points in week two, lost by six at Federal Hocking, and is one of only two teams to score 20 points in a loss to top seeded Wahama.

Southern looking to obtain their second victory has to improve defense. Over the last two games the tornadoes have given up 104 points. Coach Wickline has to preach Defense for Southern to pull out a win on homecoming night for Miller.
