Cavs Look to Build Momentum Against Tough Blue Devils Squad

The Chillicothe Cavaliers finally jumped onto the win column last week, smashing Hillsboro 54-11. They had their struggles early on, but they face a struggling Gallia Academy Blue Devils team that has dropped their past two games.

The Blue Devils, who fell to Ironton two weeks ago in a tough loss, 6-0,  gave Logan their first win of the year the week right after, 14-3.

“I think, in our loss to Logan, we had a bit of a hangover from the Ironton game. We just executed so well, and play so hard, I don’t think they had full moved on,” said Gallia Academy Coach Mike Eddy.

The Blue Devil offense has only put up 13 points total in their three losses this season.  Eddy says that the offense is moving; they’re just not getting the ball into the end zone.

For the Cavaliers, they look to build off their first big win with a rushing game headed by Timmy Beard. However, they run into a juggernaut rush defense in Gallia Academy. They only allowed six points to Ironton, so if these Cavaliers want to stay with their winning ways, they’ll have to overcome one of their toughest tests in the SEOAL all season.
