Post cleans up on "D," wins MAC weekly honor
Ohio improved to 7-1 in conference play over the weekend with the help of Katie Post, who blocked 15 times over the weekend and earned another MAC East Division Player of the Week award. Post led the team in blocking against Ball State and Toledo and is leading Ohio in blocking so far this season with 43.
Despite the loss to Ball State, Post earned a season-best three solo blocks against the Cardinals, who handed the Bobcats their first conference lost of the season in four sets. Nine of the 15 blocks came in the Bobcats sweep over Toledo on Saturday, earning another season best for the senior.
Post also had 19 kills and hit .306 for the weekend. She notched 10 kills against BSU and the other nine against UT. Along with the nine kills, Post hit .467 against the Rockets and is hitting .405 for the conference season so far.
