The Philo Electrics took on the Maysville Panthers on their home field and it will be the last time the Philo seniors step on to their home field to play a football game.

Philo received the opening kickoff to start the game. The Panthers defense did a good job holding the Electrics, not allowing them to score. Philo retaliated on their second possession, when quarterback #14 Zak Sheridan ran through the middle into the end zone for a 16-yard touchdown at the end of the first quarter; making the score 7-0.

With some back and forth play from both teams, the Panthers used Player of the year candidate #25 Jeremy Willison to move them down the field to the one yard line. Willison ran around the right side into the end zone for the Panthers first touchdown 5:04 in the second quarter.

With the score now tied at 7-7, Maysville kicked off to Philo. During the return, Philo fumbled the ball on their own 29-yard line, the Panthers coming up with the ball. Panthers using the fumble to their advantage, again, Willison tricked the Philo defense running around the outside for another Panther touchdown, making the score 14-7 Maysville.

Philo answered to the Panther touchdown, when Sheridan found a whole and ran it down the field for a 58-yard run to the Panthers 17 yard line. Sheridan then handed it off to #42 Kaleb Wiseman who ran it in for a Philo touchdown to tie the score, again, 14-14 and bring the first half of the game to a close.

The Panthers offense occupied most of the third quarter while the Electrics did their best to keep them away from the end zone. The Philo defense could only do so much against Willison’s constant pushing down the field for yet another Maysville touchdown 4:12 in the fourth quarter. The Panthers missed the extra point, only giving them a 6 point lead, 20-14.

Philo made some hard runs down the field into the Panthers red zone, but the Panthers defense stopped the Electrics from scoring, getting the ball back on their own two yard line. Willison made hard run around the outside to their won 32 yard line, but was called back because of holding in the back. The Panthers were forced to punt, giving Philo the ball on the Panthers 49 yard line. #41 Shayne Tanner ran it in for a Philo touchdown, making the score 21-20 7:24 in the fourth.

Maysville had a chance with 30 seconds left in the game to drive the ball down field and win the game, but in an attempt to complete a long pass down field Browns pass was picked off by Sheridan to end the game at 21-20 Philo.
