Ohio's Paul Hershey was not hampered by the chilly conditions in Mt. Pleasant.
Monday the Mid-American Conference named him MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week.
Hershey kicked five punts for 205 yards (41.0 yards per punt) with a long punt of 51 yards. The senior also kicked a beauty in the third quarter, which pinned the Chippewas down on their own one-yard line. Two plays later Alphonso Lewis chased down and tackled Zurlon Tipton still in the paint for a Bobcats' safety.
That punt was not a flash-in-the-pan kick. CMU started inside its own 20-yard line four times.
