Men’s basketball: Baltic is MAC East Player of the Week

Ohio's big man had a big week, and for his huge performances, Ivo Baltic is the Mid-American Conference East Division Player of the Week.
The junior scored 22 points on the road at Northern Iowa to help Ohio (11-1) crush the Panthers by 17, then, four days later, Baltic followed that performance with a 12 point, nine rebound game against North Carolina A&T.
Baltic shot 10-14 from the field against UNI and has been a threat from the perimeter, too. The 6-foot-8 forward has drained 4-8 three point attempts in 2011, including two in Cedar Rapids against the Panthers.
Baltic is averaging just over 10 points and five rebounds per contest to help the Bobcats to their best start since 1940-41.
