State Representative Andy Thompson says a $1.7 billion capital appropriations bill passed in the Ohio House today.

The two year capital budget invests $400 million in Ohio universities.

Thompson – who represents the Marietta area – says the legislation appropriates $750,000 for parking and bridge repairs at Washington State Community College.

He says it also invests $222,000 in the Ohio River Museum to restore the decks and other portions of the  W.P. Snyder, Jr.

The bill now goes to the Ohio Senate for further consideration and debate.
