Pike County Man Shot And Killed

The Pike County Sheriff says a Waverly man was shot and killed Sunday evening.
Sheriff Richard Henderson said Herbert R. King, 52, of Waverly was shot in the abdomen at his home on Buchanan Road. King was flown to Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Craig D. Stephens, 38, of Buchanan Road was identified as the shooter and has been charged with murder. Stephens is currently incarcerated in the Scioto County Jail.
The case is still under investigation by the Pike County Sheriff's Office and will be presented to a Pike County grand jury.
