Filming for a feature-length production is expected to begin soon in Southeast Ohio.

A spokeswoman with the Ohio Film Office says the movie, Scorned, was expected to begin shooting in Portsmouth in April, but production challenges have pushed the start date back.

The film received an Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit worth more than $600,000 dollars.

The movie is being called a "revenge thriller."

According to the Ohio Department of Development, more than 100 Ohioans will be employed in the production and an estimated $2 million will be brought into the state's economy.

Filming is expected to wrap in July.
