A Morgan County shooting suspect is charged with murder, but is still at large and considered armed and dangerous.

The body discovered last week near Bald Eagle Road has been identified as 36-year-old John Davis III, the victim of a recent shooting at a residence south of Malta.

The victim's body was found Wednesday at the edge of a creek.

A preliminary autopsy report shows that Davis, whose remains were identified through fingerprints and tattoos, died of a single gunshot wound to the head.

The Sheriff's Office has filed murder charges against 39-year-old Timmy Stevens in connection with Davis's death.

Stevens allegedly shot Davis June 12 during an argument outside a home south of Malta.

A 2 year-old child was also shot during the incident.

Stevens remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call the Morgan County Sheriff's Office 740-962-4044.
