Rob Smith, Ohio University baseball's new skipper added two coaches to his staff.  Assistant coaches Craig Moore and Chris Berry will join the ‘Cats after a combined 25 years of coaching experience.

Moore joins the staff after two seasons at Creighton with Smith where he worked primarily with catchers and hitters. He helped the Blue Jays advance to their second consecutive NCAA regional appearance and Creighton’s second straight Missouri Valley Conference championship.

Berry comes to Ohio after spending the past year as the co-director of the Baylor Baseball Academy. Before that, he spent four years as the pitching coach at Sam Houston State University and eight seasons at Baylor University.

Both coaches will have new roles in the Ohio baseball program. Moore will be the Recruiting Coordinator and Hitting Coach and Barry will work directly with the catchers, while also assisting the pitchers and hitters.

Moore has had some head coaching experience as well. Before his time at Creighton, he was the skipper at junior college Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. Berry has also held assistant positions at Rockford College, Young Harris College and Arkansas State earlier in his career.
