38th Fall Hookahville Set For This Weekend

The Fall Hookahville music fest returns this Thursday through Sunday to Frontier Ranch in Pataskala, Ohio, hosted by the Columbus group ekoostik hookah.

Now in its 38th year, the fest boasts a who's-who of the improvised music scene, inlcluding The Travelin’ McCourys, John Kadlecik (founding member of the Dark Star Orchestra and currently with Phil Lesh and Bob Weir on the Furthur tour) and the award-winning Tony Rice Unit.

Other acts scheduled to perform include: Athens bands Elemental Groove Theory and The Paranormals, Fareed Haque’s MathGames, Mike Perkins, Blue Moon Soup, The Congress, Jones for Revival, Glostik Willy, Howard Lewis Lovins, Kyra Jones and The Amazing Giants (Stilt Walkers).

A Saturday night Beach Party, featuring The Hookahville House Band, will celebrate the music of The Beach Boys. Ekoostik hookah will perform on Friday and Saturday.

Hookahville has designated camping areas for the handicapped, families and those wishing a quiet camping area. Children 12 and under are admitted free, and the festival is an all-ages, rain or shine event. Camping is included in the price of admission.
