A police chase through three states ends with a man under arrest along a dead-end road outside Chesapeake, Ohio.

Lawrence CountySheriff Jeff Lawless says that Roy Bentley, 46, was arrested after ditching his pickup at the end of Township Road 286 Wednesday afternoon.

The chase began in Boyd County, Ky. when deputies were alerted to a possible break-in at a residence along Route 3.

Deputies spotted the suspect vehicle, a pickup truck with Ohio tags and the pursuit began onto I-64 and into West Virginia.

The suspect then crossed into Ohio over the West 17th Street Bridge.

He then turned onto Buffalo Creek Road before heading out Twp. 286.

The pursuit reached speeds of nearly 100 miles-per-hour at times on the interstate.

Bentley was arrested after a short foot chase after he ditched his pickup at the end of the road.

Bentley was taken to the Lawrence County Jail.

Lawless says inside the truck, deputies found jewelry, coins and other merchandise.

No word on the charges against Bentley.
