The Ohio University School of Music has announced that Solungga Fang-Tzu Liu, assistant professor of Piano at Bowling Green State University, will present a piano recital at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 11, in the Glidden Recital Hall.

The recital will feature works by Jan Ladislav Dussek, Leoš Janáek and Charles Tomlinson Griffes.

A dedicated performer of new music, Liu has performed works by many current composers, including the Lutoslawski Piano Concerto with Ossia, Steve Reich’s Tehillim/The Desert Music with Alarm Will Sound and "Meandering River" for solo piano by Robert Morris (which is dedicated to Liu).

Liu has recorded two CDs of Reich’s major works with Alarm Will Sound, and a recording of "Meandering River" has been released by Albany Records.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information about this and other School of Music Events, please visit www.finearts.ohio.edu.
