Juli Accurso has been named Mid-American Conference Runner of the Week for the second time this season. The Ohio women's cross country junior placed third at the 2012 Toledo Inter-Regional Bubble Buster Invitational this past Friday.
Accurso led Ohio to a ninth-place finish against a slew of nationally-ranked teams as she placed third with a time of 13:20.8.
She finished 16 seconds behind Butler's Katie Clark, who won the meet in a time of 13:04.8.
Accurso placed in the top five in a race for the second time this season with her third-place finish.
Her first MAC Runner of the Week Award came after her Sept. 8 victory at the Harry Groves Invitational at Penn State.
The Bobcats will compete in two events this weekend. Ohio will race in the Notre Dame Invitational on Sept. 28 and the All-Ohio Invitational on Sept. 29.
