Ohio football coach Frank Solich and volleyball coach Ryan Theis will have their weekly press conferences Wednesday afternoon this week. The change is due to the bye on Ohio’s football schedule.
Both press conferences will be at their usual times; Solich will speak at 12:30 p.m., and Theis’ media session will begin at 1 p.m.
Solich did participate in the weekly MAC football coaches’ teleconference Monday morning. During the conference call, Solich spoke about the attention his undefeated Bobcats are receiving, Matt Weller’s consistency as Ohio’s kicker and Tyler Tettleton’s growth under center.
Tettleton became Ohio’s all-time-passing-touchdowns leader this weekend as Ohio improved to 7-0 with a 34-28 Homecoming victory over Akron. Weller was named MAC East Special Teams Player of the Week after scoring 10 points in the Bobcats’ win.
Ohio is ranked 25th in this week's AP poll.
Ohio volleyball (12-8, 7-1 MAC) earned its sixth and seventh consecutive wins with two road victories this weekend: a five-set win at Toledo and a three-set dismantling of Ball State. The team currently sits second in the MAC behind Bowling Green (8-0 MAC).
