Ohio Wrestling began the 2012-13 season Saturday at the Virginia Duals with a 37-15 win over Anderson, but suffered losses in their final two matches to No. 16 Virginia and Chattanooga.

The Bobcats received strong outings from Jeremy Johnson (285 lbs.) and Cody Walters (174), who both finished the day without losing a match. Walters had one pin with his other victory coming from a decision, while Johnson won all three of his matches on decisions.

Ohio also saw freshman Kagan Squire and redshirt sophomore Harrison Hightower step up in their first meet of the year, each posting a 2-1 record on the day. Both had a pin against Anderson.

Ohio fell to Virginia 37-6 with Squire and Johnson earning the only victories in the match. The Bobcats lost a close match to Chattanooga 21-12 with victories from Andrew Romanchik, Harrison Hightower, Walters and Johnson.

Ohio will be on the road again next Sunday, as they travel to Lansing for the Michigan State Open. The Bobcats hit the mats at 9 a.m.
