Lawrence County Mayor Arrested For DUI

Ironton police have charged a Lawrence County mayor with D-U-I.
Police arrested 43-year-old Hanging Rock Mayor Christopher Davidson early Sunday morning.
Authorities say they detected a strong odor of alcohol and his speech seemed to be slurred.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says they were called to help the Ironton Police check on a suspicious car parked on Mimosa Lane about 1:40 am.
Davidson pleaded not guilty to the charge Monday.
The court scheduled a pre-trial for Thursday.
Davidson is serving his third term as mayor.
