A Meigs County man is sentenced to nine months in prison and ordered to pay restitution for money he wrongfully collected from the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation.

A Franklin County Common Pleas Court judge ordered Charles Morris Jr. to pay back $30,000.

Morris, of Middleport, pleaded guilty to fraud in November.

He was accused of collecting disability benefits while continuing to work as an HVAC technician as the owner/operator of Chuck's Heating and Cooling.

According to the bureau, an injured worker cannot work and receive benefits.

Morris was sentenced last week.
