Man Charged With Rape Of Three Sisters

UPDATE 4:13 P.M. A Scioto County man accused of raping three young girls pleaded not guilty to each of the three felony counts against him.

Michael Lockheart, 51, appeared in Portsmouth Municipal Court Wednesday.     
 
Lockheart was arrested Tuesday by New Boston police for allegedly raping three sisters, ages 5, 6 and 8.
 
Police say the investigation began last month when the parents of the children told police of several incidents between 2002 and 2009.
 
Lockheart was reportedly a friend of the family and lived with the victims' grandmother.
 
He is scheduled for a first appearance in Portsmouth Municipal on January 24 at 10 a.m.
 
Lockheart is currently being held at the Scioto County Jail on $100,000 bond for each count.     

 

A Scioto County man is scheduled to appear in Portsmouth Municipal Court Wednesday after being charged for the rape of three young girls.

Michael Lockheart, 51, was arrested Tuesday by New Boston Police for rape of three sisters, ages 5, 6 and 8.

Police said he confessed to the crimes and was charged with three first-degree felonies.

The investigation began last month when the parents of the children informed police of several incidents between 2002 and 2009.

Lockheart was a friend of the family and lived with the victim's grandmother.

He is currently being held in Scioto County Jail.
