A 17-year-old Greenup County High School student is behind bars for allegedly making threats toward students and staff at the school.
Kentucky State Police charged the teen Wednesday with two counts of terroristic threatening and two counts of wanton endangerment.
Troopers say on Monday and Tuesday the teen sent anonymous text messages threatening to kill people in the school.
Kentucky State Police say the 17-year-old used a cell phone app to change his number when the text messages were sent.
The teen is being held in the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center.
If convicted, he could face more than 10 years in jail.
