A Wood County man faces a sex abuse charge after contacting a young girl on the internet.
Deputies said Jason Alfstad, 37, of Mineral Wells first contacted a 12-year-old girl on Facebook.
According to investigators last week he picked her up, gave the girl alcohol and had sex with her.
Alfstad is charged with third degree sexual assault.
If convicted, he could spend one to five years in prison, but deputies said more charges are pending.
In March of 2008, Alfstad was found not guilty of three sexual abuse charges including allegedly raping a four-year-old girl.
