The Federal Hocking Lady Lancers sprinted out of the gate and never let up finishing with a 60-34 victory over the Southern Tornadoes at McAfee Gymnasium in a sectional semifinal Monday night.

The Lancers finished the game with a red hot shooting night that included 49 percent from the floor while hitting three of their six tries from behind the arc.

The Lancer's received a balanced scoring attack, recieving 13 points from Megan Thompson with Cheyanne Singer tacking on a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

The Lancers came out hot while on the other side the Tornadoes couldn't shake a horrific shooting slump. Celestia Hendrix scored 14 points and ripped down  seven rebounds, meanwhile for the rest of the Tornadoes it wasn't such a successful game. The Tornadoes played sloppy basketball from start to finish, which was apparent by their 32 turnovers to go along with 20 percent shooting.

Fed Hock moves on to the sectional final where they will take on No. 1 seeded Eastern. The game will be played at Athens High School Thursday night at 6:15 p.m.
