With a two-run blast by Alyssa Wolfe, the Bobcats surged past Tennessee Tech in the top half of the final inning to defeat the Golden Eagles, 3-2.

Freshman pitcher Savannah Jo Dorsey sealed the victory by retiring the side in the bottom of the frame, picking up her fifth victory of the season in a nine-strikeout performance.

The game did not see its first runs until the bottom of the third when the Golden Eagles put two runs on the board off of a stolen base and a wild pitch. The Bobcats responded with an RBI single courtesy of Timmie Rappe.

Dorsey settled down after the fourth inning, shutting down the Golden Eagles offense.

When the top of the seventh arrived, Amanda Dalton hit a single to center field, and Wolfe did the rest in the following at bat.

With the win, the Bobcats are 11-3 on the season.

They travel to Seattle for five games in three days March 7-9.
