Troopers say drug use is suspected in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Greenup County.

The crash happened just before 2 p.m. on Sunday at the intersection of the Grant Bridge on US 23.

Kentucky State Police say Benjamin Johnston, 27, from Portsmouth was trying to turn left on his mo-ped when he was hit by a SUV.

Troopers say Jamie Miller, 44, ran a red light at the intersection.

Johnson was taken to the Southern Ohio Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.

Miller and a passenger were not hurt in the crash.

Troopers say no charges will be filed until the investigation is completed.
