Ohio prosecutors are readying to call a trio of key eyewitnesses in the trial of two high school football players charged with raping a 16-year-old girl.
Much of the state's case rests on the testimony of three teenage boys who witnessed the alleged attacks, including two who took video and photographic images which were later deleted.
The trial resumes Friday morning in Steubenville following a day of evidence that included graphic text messages from one of the defendants offering different accounts of what happened.
In text messages presented from the alleged victim, she begged a friend for information about what happened and said she had no memory of the night.
The two teenage defendants, who maintain their innocence, could be sentenced to detention through their 21st birthdays if convicted.
