Alt-rock chanteuse Cat Power will join fellow headliners Wilco, John Prine and Gogol Bordello at the 9th annual Nelsonville Music Festival, being held May 30-June 2 at Hocking College.
The fourth round of lineup announcements, announced this afternoon by Stuart's Opera House, includes 15 other national, regional and local acts: Alt-country singer-songwriter Tift Merrit; Brooklyn's Shilpa Ray; Nelsonville Fest alumni The Honeycutters; guitar virtuoso William Tyler; folk singer Catherine MacLellan; and West Virginia musician Todd Burge.
Several Ohio bands have also been added to the weekend lineup, including Wussy (Cincinnati), The Sundresses (Cincinnati), Wheels On Fire (Athens), J.D. Hutchison (Athens), Jerry David DeCicca (Columbus), Olentangy John (Brooklyn, N.Y., by way of Ohio), Unmonumental (Athens), J.J. Reed (Athens) and Weedghost (Athens).
Featuring over 40 bands on multiple stages, the four-day festival also offers camping, kids activities, local artisan vendors, food, a beer garden and more.
