CSX Transportation plans to replace more than a mile of rails on a trestle that runs through Parkersburg and Belpre, Ohio.
The company says the work is expected to begin Monday morning in Belpre. Work in Parkersburg will begin Wednesday and the project is expected to be completed by the end of the week.
About 9,000 feet of rails will be replaced.
Parkersburg police tell media outlets that one lane of the Parkersburg-Belpre Bridge will be closed beginning at 6 a.m. Monday. Several streets also will be closed at intervals during the work.
In Belpre, Main Street will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
