Roadwork will obstruct two U.S. routes in Athens County.
According to a statement issued by the Ohio Department of Transportation, traffic on U.S. Route 33 will be reduced to one lane on the east side of Nelsonville.
This project is expected to be completed by September 2013.
Westbound motorists on U.S. Route 50 will encounter a median crossover near County Road 62.
Traffic in the westbound lanes will funnel into the eastbound lane as motorists cross the bridge at the County Road intersection.
Once construction on the westbound lanes of the bridge is complete, traffic will be moved onto the eastbound lane while construction continues on the other half of the bridge.
County Road 62 is expected to reopen in October after construction is finished.
