Police Find Drugs, Money and Firearms In South Point Home

Five people were arrested Wednesday for drug trafficking and possession.

The arrests occurred after The Lawrence Drug Major Crimes Task Force and the Lawrence County Sheriff's Office executed a search warrant at a residence in South Point, OH.

Police arrested Asim McCoy and Jerome Yancey, both 32-years-old from Huntington, WV, along with Joseph Whaley, 22, of Ironton, OH, and South Point, OH residents Benjamin Willis, 32, and 28-year-old Amee Pyles.  

Suspects were arrested on various charges from drug trafficking, drug possession, drug abuse and active warrants.

Police seized heroin, cocaine, digital scales, hypodermic syringes, drug paraphernalia, over $2,800 in cash, and two firearms and ammunition.

The narcotics seized are being sent to the Ohio BCI&I Crime Lab for analysis and exact weights.
