Crime scene tape is up and officials are not giving any details at this time. Reportedly there are two bodies in the home on South Street in Jackson.
At approximately noon Wednesday, officials of the Jackson Police and the Jackson County Sheriff's Office were seen standing in the front lawn of 38 E. South St., Jackson. The residence, as well as, 34 E. South St., have been cordoned off.
A Jackson County Sheriff Deputy was seen placing crime scene tape across South Street in front of the residence.
It has been confirmed that officials are investigating the deaths of children, however, no other information is being released.
Investigators of the Ohio Bureau of Investigation and Identification were on the scene by 2 p.m.
Jackson County Sheriff Tedd Frazier would not confirm the deaths of children, saying that this is an ongoing investigation. He said that the Jackson Police are handling the case and that his office is assisting. He made no other comments. "There will be no comment until the investigation is completed," Frazier said.
Officials have not released who lives at the home, nor the identities of the children.
