State police say a body has been pulled from a truck found in a Jackson County creek.

WSAZ-TV reports the body of 57-year-old Carey Emery of Reedy in Roane County was pulled from Sandy Creek in Silverton on Tuesday.

West Virginia State Police say the victim's pickup truck hit an Interstate 77 median, went airborne and 60 feet down to the creek below.

Most of the vehicle was submerged in the creek.

Troopers say the victim may have been in the creek for several days. The body has been sent to the state medical examiner's office.
