The Ohio Annual Show at the Zanesville Museum of Art is a competitive, juried exhibition open to all Ohio artists and artisans.

It began 69 years ago as the Museum’s "May Show," and has expanded from a regional to a state-wide exhibit.

For this show, 213 entries were recieved from 115 artists residing in 45 Ohio cities and towns. Painter Michael McEwan, whose works reside in over 400 public and private collections, including the Butler Museum of American Art and The Southern Ohio Museum, juried the show.

From the 213 entries, McEwan chose 80 pieces entered by 68 artists.

The public is invited to attend a reception at the Museum, 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 14. Awards in each category of entry and Best of Show will be announced at 3 p.m.

Included in the exhibition are paintings, photographs, collage, sculpture, pottery and other ceramics, quilts and embroidery, prints, and glass.
