All staff, faculty, and students occupying Walter Hall International Education Center, Scripps Hall, and Alden Library on the Ohio University Athens Campus have been warned to expect warmer than usual temperatures for the next few days.

The warmer temperatures are due to repairs taking place on the chiller “that provides air conditioning to the buildings,” according to Jay North, associate director for Maintenance and Operations.

“The Facilities Management department is diligently working on the repairs and intends to have the chiller returned to full capacity as soon as possible,” North added in an email to the buildings’ inhabitants.

No specific time has been given for the repairs to be concluded.
