The Ohio University Theater Division in the School of Dance, Film and Theater will present Metamorphoses, the first production of its 2013–2014 season, Oct. 2-5 and 9-12 in the Forum Theater.

Mary Zimmerman’s vivid stage adaptation of Ovid’s first-century poem has become a contemporary classic in its own right.

Rich in imagery and poetry, and choreographed in and around a 4,000 gallon pool of water, the play ruminates on six Greek myths and the nature of change.

Metamorphoses is directed by Rebecca VerNooy, assistant professor, Theater Division.

The Forum Theater located in the Radio & Television Building at 35 South College Street in Athens. Through Arts for Ohio, tickets are free for OU students with a student ID. Regular tickets are $10 for adults and $7 for other students and seniors.

For more information and reservations, phone 740-593-1780, or stop by the Fine Arts Ticket Office in Templeton-Blackburn Alumni Memorial Auditorium, Monday through Friday, 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
