Jue Named Offensive Player Of The Week

After an outstanding performance against Kent State on Saturday, senior Ohio Field Hockey's Jessica Jue was named the Mid-American Conference Field Hockey Offensive Player of the week.

Jue scored Ohio's game winner agains the Golden Flashes, rifling a shot past Kent State's goal tender with 12:33 left in double over-time. The goal secured a 3-2 win on Senior Day for the Bobcats and gave the Green and White a berth in this year's MAC tournament.

The Vancouver, British Columbia native has launched six shots past opposing goalkeepers this season, contributing to the Ohio's total of 26.

This is the first time in the 2013 season Jue has earned the title of Player of the Week, but the second time in her career. She was also recognized as the MAC Defensive Player of the Week back in 2011 during her sophomore season.  

The ‘Cats are now scheduled to make their way to Oxford, Ohio to take on the Miami Redhawks Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the first round of the MAC tournament.
