Following his strong second half performance against Northern Iowa, senior guard Nick Kellogg has been named the Mid-American Conference East Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Kellogg totaled 16 points against the Panthers, 14 of which came in the second half. With Northern Iowa closing the gap, the senior guard scored 12 straight points for Ohio, helping the Bobcats maintain their lead.
In addition to his second half scoring outburst, Kellogg also ripped down five rebounds.
Kellogg and the rest of the Bobcats will be in action again on Tuesday when they take on Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. Tipoff is at 8 p.m. and the game will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
