Overnight Saturday Snow Fails to Fall on Southeast Ohio

While central and northern Ohio received some snowfall Saturday morning, Athens and surrounding counties to the south were mostly just wet.

Still the National Weather Service maintained a winter weather advisory for most of the state including Athens County through early Saturday afternoon.

Saturday's forecast for the area called for snow before 11am, then rain, snow, and sleet between 11am and noon, then rain after noon.

High near 37.

East wind 5 to 7 mph.

Chance of precipitation was expected to be 100%.

Total daytime snow and sleet accumulation of 1 to 2 inches was possible in Athens.
