Patti Hadad's "Church Door on Washington" is being featured as part of the exhibit "For the Love of Athens County," on display through March 3 at ARTS/West.

Smart-device photographic works by Athens-area residents will be on display during For the Love of Athens County, a juried exhibit opening Wednesday, Feb. 5 in the ARTS/West gallery space.

In December, ARTS/West sent out a call for local residents to use their smart-devices to take photos of what they love in and around Athens County. Thirteen local residents submitted 49 photographs.

Once submitted to ARTS/West, the photos were then turned over to a panel of judges to choose 18 pieces they felt embodied the theme. Those 18 pieces will hang in the gallery space for the duration of the show.

Everyone who submitted photos will have their work viewed during an opening reception on Feb. 5 via a PowerPoint presentation.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The exhibit will be on display through March 3. For more information, visit www.artswest.blogspot.com.
