Ohio Bobcat Addison Ferguson received Mid-American Conference Women’s Swimmer of the Week honors on Monday after winning four individual events and two relays last weekend against Xavier and Miami.
On Friday against Xavier, Ferguson won the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.98 and also finished first in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.63. Outside of her individual events, Ferguson contributed to the first place finish by the 200-yard medley relay team against Xavier.
Ferguson continued her winning ways on Saturday against Miami, as she snagged first place finished in 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke with times of 55.64 and 2:04.27. She once again contributed to a relay victory, as Ohio’s 400-yard medley relay team claimed a victory with a time of 3:51.05.
Ferguson and the Bobcats now move to preparations for the 2014 MAC Championships that are set to take place in Geneva, Ohio at the SPIRE Institute on Feb. 27-March 1.
