A school district in Athens County is being recognized for its clean audit report.
Ohio Auditor of State Dave Yost recognized the Federal Hocking Local School District with "The Auditor of State Award," on Tuesday.
In order to be recognized, schools must file timely financial reports with the Auditor of State's office. Reports cannot contain any findings for recovery, material citations, material weakness or questioned costs.
Other schools awarded include Aurora City School District in Portage County, Franklin City School District in Warren County and Miamisburg Secondary Academy in Montgomery County.
