The city of Gallipolis announced on its website that water is now flowing through a completed bypass water line.
Crews completed the line around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Some 3,000 customers in Gallipolis have had water issues since Monday morning when a main water line broke under Chickamauga Creek.
Finney says it will take some time to see now the new line reacts to pressure. Customers are still asked to conserve until the system has a chance to recharge.
A boil water advisory remains in effect.
