A 14-year-old boy from Vincent is is under arrest after authorities say he sexually abused his eight year old sister.
A joint investigation between the Washington County Sheriff's office and Children's Services began after the victim told her mother what her adopted brother was doing to her.
The victim was then interviewed by a social worker and said on a number of occasions over the past year that the teen forced her to engage in a number of sexual acts.
When questioned about the incidents, the teen denied abusing his sister, but later admitted to molesting her.
"This type of thing is a very tragic situation. First of all you have to give the victim a lot of support because it was really something to come forward to admit that this has happened and then to go through talking to us. The whole thing has got to be traumatic to her," said Washington County Sheriff, Larry Mincks.
The teen was arrested last Thursday and is being held at the Juvenile Detention Center in Lancaster awaiting trial.
He's been charged with rape and eight counts of gross sexual imposition.
