The woman who’d like to be Ohio’s next Lieutenant Governor said she’s concerned about two resignations that took place recently in current Lieutenant Governor Mary Taylor’s office.

Sharen Neuhardt, the running mate of Democratic Gubernatorial candidate Ed FitzGerald, said she wants more information about why one of the women who resigned from Taylor’s office claimed she was in a hostile work environment.

"The truth of the matter is we don’t really know what it means, at least in the eyes of this staffer who recently resigned," Neuhardt said. "So I don’t know enough to comment about what she is saying is going on. I do think that it is apparent that she thinks there was an environment in place that was legally something that was not defensible so we are going to have to wait and see about this."

Over the weekend, Ed FitzGerald himself questioned the situation and repeatedly used the word “scandal” when referencing it. The two employees who resigned did so after questions were raised about whether they possibly falsified their time sheets and work hours. Republicans point out they’ve been trying to get FitzGerald himself to release his own key card data to prove hours he is working as Cuyahoga County Executive.

That information has not been provided citing security concerns.
