A cold front will cross the region Friday bringing high chances of showers that will last into Friday night.
Friday's overnight low for Athens will likely not drop enough to bring snow showers into Saturday, but the chance of rain is expected to continue.
The chance of rain persists into Saturday, with scattered showers, specifically in the morning hours.
Once the cold front passes, high pressure will moved in for the rest of Saturday and into Sunday. This means sunnier skies and drier conditions to start next week.
Weekend temperatures will be much cooler with temperatures in the mid 40s. The lows will drop to below freezing temperatures on both Saturday and Sunday nights which will cause Athens to see its first freeze of the season.
