FORECAST: Major Storm To Impact Region

FLOOD WATCH in effect Tuesday at 7 p.m. through Thursday at 7 a.m.

WINTER STORM WARNING in effect Wednesday at 1 p.m. through Thursday at 1 p.m.

WINTER STORM WATCH in effect Wednesday afternoon through Thursday afternoon.

Temperatures will continue their warming trend through Tuesday evening as a warm front ushers in rain.  These showers could be heavy at times, particularly, overnight, dumping anywhere from .75” to 1 inch of rain.  With the frozen ground and snow already on the ground, the National Weather Service has put that Flood Watch in place for most of southeastern Ohio.  Overnight through Wednesday morning, temperatures will cool off as a cold front moves in.  This will turn the rain over to snow and sleet up through noon Wednesday. By the late afternoon, and evening we’re looking for to turn over to snow with accumulations anywhere between 3 and 6 Inches primarily south of Columbus and north of the Ohio River.
