Camp Director Charged With Endangering Children

Camp Otterbein director Scott Seese awaits an October 15 pretrial hearing on a misdemeanor charge for endangering children. On July 16 campers attended the Hocking Hills Rock Climbing Rappelling area and an 11-year-old girl became wedged for hours between two rock walls.


Ohio Gas Prices Continue to Drop

A gallon of regular gas averaged $3.19 in Monday’s survey from auto club AAA. Ohio average prices are lower than the national average, which was $3.34 on Monday.


Hidden Camera Trial Set for November

Three men accused of putting a hidden camera in a workout room at Wayne County High School are scheduled to go to trial November 13. Police charged 51-year-old James Ramey III, 42-year-old Scott Followay and 52-year-old Jeffrey Spencer with trespassing and destruction of property.


West Virginia Truancy Rates Released

According to Department of Education data, 31 percent of West Virginia public school students were truant during the 2013-2014 academic year. Students are truant if they miss at least five days of class without an excuse.


Search Continues for Afghanistan National Army Officers

This is day two of a search for three Afghanistan National Army officers who went missing during a training exercise at a Cape Cod military base. U.S. military officials said the soldiers were reported missing on Saturday night after participating in a U.S. Central Command Regional Cooperation training exercise.


Maven Spacecraft Enters Orbit Around Mars

NASA spacecraft, Maven, will begin probing the upper atmosphere of Mars in early November. The craft is to undergo six weeks of adjustments after reaching Mars late Sunday night following a 442 million-mile journey that began nearly a year ago.


Apple Sales Reach Record High For New Release

The iPhone 6 and 6 Plus sold more than 10 million models in the three days after they went on sale. CEO Tim Cook said demand for the phones has exceeded the company’s expectations.
