Comer Raises $534,000 In First Fundraising Quarter

Republican James Comer raised $534,000 in his first fundraising quarter as a candidate for Kentucky governor.
Comer, the state agriculture commissioner, officially started his campaign last month with a rally in his hometown of Tompkinsville. He raised his money in 22 days and has $477,656 available to spend.
Democratic candidate Jack Conway raised $397,539 in the three month fundraising quarter that ended Sept. 30. His campaign has raised more than $1.1 million since announcing his candidacy in May. Conway, the Attorney General, has $978,044 available to spend.
Republican candidate Hal Heiner raised $56,492 in the quarter. The former Louisville Metro councilman said he will not hold fundraising events until after the fall elections. He said his political action committee dedicated to helping Republican House candidates has raised $252,500.
