Muskingum University to Host Noted Authors

The Muskingum University Department of English will host a reading and lecture by authors Jen Hirt and Paul Cockeram on Thursday, Oct. 16 at 4:30 p.m. in room 336 of Boyd Science Center.

This event is free and open to the public.

Jen Hirt is the author of the memoir Under Glass: The Girl with a Thousand Christmas Trees. She won the 2012 Gabehart Prize for Nonfiction and her work has been published in journals including The Gettysburg Review, Natural Bridge and Redivider.

Hirt is an assistant professor of English at Penn State University’s Harrisburg campus.

Paul Cockeram’s work has been published in The Wildwood Journal, Borne on Air, The Laurel Review and Confrontation.

He earned a master of fine arts degree from the University of Idaho and teaches literature and writing at Harrisburg Area Community College.
