1. Trimble Tomcats (6-0, 5-0) | Last week’s ranking: 1

The Trimble Tomcats won their biggest matchup of the season last week, topping Wahama 42-0 in the Hocking’s most anticipated match-up. Trimble has let up only 32 points through six games and the defending champs are primed to run the table.

2. Wahama White Falcons (4-2, 4-1) Last week’s ranking: 2

The White Falcons lost their chance to control the Hocking after falling to the Tomcats. While the loss takes Wahama’s destiny out of its own hands, a win against Eastern, in addition to a South Gallia win over Waterford, would set up a week eight game for second place in the Hocking.

3. Eastern Eagles (3-3, 3-1) | Last week’s ranking: 4

The Eagles haven’t been consistent this season alternating wins and loses each week, including last week’s 16-7 win over Waterford. Excluding their week two 42-20 win over Miller, Eastern has won their games by less than two touchdowns, on average.

4. South Gallia Rebels (4-2, 3-2) | Last week’s ranking: 3

The South Gallia Rebels dipped a spot this week after a rough loss at home to the Belpre Golden Eagles. While Belpre is certainly making strides this year, it was a game that the Rebels expected to win. They'll continue to battle with Eastern and Belpre for the third spot in the Hocking conference.

5. Belpre Golden Eagles (4-2, 3-2) | Last week’s ranking: 5

The Golden Eagles are one game away from tying their win total from last season and their 21-6 win against South Gallia brought their win streak up to two. The Golden Eagles have already faced their two toughest opponents of the season, Trimble and Wahama, leaving them in a good position to finish the season strong.

6. Southern Tornadoes (3-3, 2-2) | Last week’s ranking: 6

The Tornadoes picked up a bounce-back win at home over Federal Hocking, but still remain in sixth place in the TVC-Hocking with a 2-2 conference record. The road won’t become any more forgiving as they face Trimble at home this Friday.

7. Waterford Wildcats (1-5, 1-3) | Last week’s rankings: 7

The Wildcats brought their losing streak up to five this week with a 16-7 loss against Eastern. Waterford has struggled mightily on both sides of the ball, getting outscored 204-69 thus far.

8. Miller Falcons (1-5, 0-4) | Last week’s ranking: 9

The Falcons picked up its first win since week six of the 2013 season, topping Hannan (WV) 57-8. Aside from last week’s win, Miller has faced issues on both sides of the ball, allowing over 35 points per contest while only scoring approximately seven per game.

9. Federal Hocking Lancers (0-6, 0-5) | Last Week: 8

Federal Hocking is still looking for its first victory of the season after a 25-12 loss to Southern last week. Fortunately for the Lancers, winnable games against Miller and Vinton County (0-6) lie ahead.
